Already Good

My philosophy as a coach is that you’re already good. We have what we need to be persuasive, engaging, and dynamic. But so many things can get in our way. Under-preparedness, over-preparedness, simply not knowing how best to prepare, too much insecurity, too much confidence, not “feeling it” … the list goes on.

Many things stop us from starting off on the right foot - or simply starting at all. But there is one thing that can start us off and keep us going: training.

Dedication.

Investigation.

Transformation.

about me

g i n a r a t t a n

Born and raised in Westport, CT, and a graduate of the University of Michigan’s prestigious theater program.

I’ve spent the past 20 years working in show business. I know I don’t look it.

Theater credits include two seasons at the Old Globe Summer Shakespeare Festival; many regional theaters; three national tours; Cinderella, Soul Doctor, on Broadway; Tony award winning Broadway shows; Billy Elliot, Matilda the Musical, Angels in America, and Company.

TV Credits include; The Sound of Music Live (with Carrie Underwood) and Peter Pan Live (with Allison Williams and Christopher Walken); Girls, Fellow Travelers.

Film credits include Get Out, and M3GAN among others.

I write and love working with writers. I work as a private acting coach for children and adults in all genres - film, TV, and theater.

Why I do it

i love it

both of my parents are therapists (yes, i have stories) and i’ve always had a keen interest in human behavior, relationships, and motivations

i find that often actors are looking for a partner with whom they can delve deeply into character and explore not only the character’s history but their truthful motivation in scene work

it’s fun for me.
